All aboard the Treehouse World train! You can walk through each of the 6 train cars from end to end above ground. We opened the exhibit first in 2016, and later added a steam whistle (hold your ears if standing close), a sliding box car door, and a couple other features. As you journey down the tracks, you may realize that you’re climbing a hill because the tracks are actually tilted uphill about 3 degrees over the 75 foot long train – think: The Little Train that Could… The train cars parked at the treehouse station are:
- Coal Tender
- Water Tanker
- Box Car
- Lumber Car
The train treehouses have 3 entrances: A dual ladder at the caboose, a spiral stair to the platform near the lumber & box cars, and a bridge from the back platform that leads to the oak leaf tree platform.
